✝️ About Church of St. James

At the Church of St. James, we believe in the healing power of prayer and the quiet strength of faith. Each week, we prepare and send out a limited number of handmade prayer cloths, prayed over by Pastor Michael James during our Sunday altar service.

This ministry began as a simple act of compassion — a way to reach those in need of peace, healing, or breakthrough, even from afar. Over time, stories began pouring in: people who felt unexpected peace… who received answers to long-awaited prayers… who were reminded that God hadn't forgotten them.

We offer these cloths freely as part of our calling — As a gift of faith. Each cloth is individually blessed and sent by mail with a letter of encouragement.

Whether you are requesting a cloth for yourself or someone you love, we pray it brings comfort, hope, and a reminder that God is still moving in quiet and powerful ways.

The Story of the Sacred Purple Cloth:

"Each cloth is handmade using a sacred purple-dyed fabric inspired by the ancient materials used in priestly garments from the Holy Land. The dye is derived from a rare blend of herbs and crushed petals blessed by elders from a secluded Christian monastery located deep in the hills outside Jerusalem — a place where prayer and fasting have taken place daily for generations."

"The cloth is cut and prepared during a midnight prayer ritual, symbolizing spiritual protection and divine covering. Each piece is prayed over before it ever leaves the hands of our ministry."
